“We’ll dance in the midnight sun / Where sunset never comes” – “Free at Last”

Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Don Felder—legendary former Eagles lead guitarist and co‑writer of the iconic “Hotel California” solo—returns with The Vault (Fifty Years of Music), his first new album in five years and debut on Frontiers Music.

A true musical renaissance figure, Felder helped shape the Eagles’ sound with tracks like “Victim of Love,” “Those Shoes,” and “Visions,” before launching a successful solo career that’s included collaborations with Slash, Mick Fleetwood, Joe Satriani, Orianthi, Richie Sambora, and more.

The Vault digs into five decades of Felder’s songwriting, featuring newly finished versions of long‑lost demos—some originally pitched for Eagles albums. The opener “Move On,” written in 1974, kicks off a collection that spans rock, reggae‑techno, and ‘80s‑inspired grooves. Highlights include the reflective first single “Free at Last,” the Hollywood‑skewering “Hollywood Victim,” the swaggering “I Like the Things You Do,” and a new, heavier take on his cult classic “Heavy Metal.” The album closes with “Blue Skies,” a moving tribute to Glenn Frey.

Felder’s all‑star lineup includes David Paich, Steve Lukather, Greg Phillinganes, Nathan East, Jim Keltner, Chad Cromwell, and more.

Beyond the studio, Felder is a bestselling author (Heaven and Hell: My Life in the Eagles), TV host, and film/TV composer. He continues to tour nonstop, including this summer’s Brotherhood of Rock run with Styx and the Kevin Cronin Band.

Fifty years in, Don Felder is still crafting, exploring, and pushing forward—one unmistakable guitar line at a time.
